Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday urged party leaders and cadres to strengthen the TDP more at every polling booth level to increase its vote share in the next elections. “In the next elections, we must secure a higher number of votes than we did in the 2024 elections,” he said while addressing the party leaders after administering an oath to the new politburo, national and state committees of the TDP at the party headquarters at Mangalagiri.

He urged the party leaders to highlight the development works undertaken by the government in the upcoming local body elections. He exuded confidence of a landslide victory in the local body polls. “Remember that the next general elections will be held in just three years.

The people voted for our alliance with the specific mandate to rebuild and transform the state. We must secure a higher vote count in the next election than we did in 2024; only then can it be truly said that we have performed our duties effectively.”

He also emphasised the coordination with alliance partners Jana Sena and BJP at the grassroots level and advised TDP cadres to give no room for any controversies. CM Naidu said that he and Deputy Chief Minister and Jana Sena leader Pawan Kalyan share an excellent rapport and are maintaining a very good relationship.

Party workers at the grassroots level should conduct themselves in the same manner. We must also maintain coordination with the BJP. There is no rift between the state and the Centre -- nor should there ever be one.” Chandrababu Naidu claimed that TDP is the only party with a strong cadre and is known for discipline.

Stating that the TDP’s flag always flew high, he said in its history of 44 years, the party faced many challenges, but its valour never diminished. He remarked that TDP will remain as long as the Telugu people exist. Chandrababu Naidu told the party leaders that he had been involved in the exercise of constituting party committees for four decades but never undertook such an extensive exercise on this scale before.

“We have formed these new committees after a rigorous process of sifting and through careful strategic planning. We have constituted these committees by honouring seniors, providing opportunities to newcomers, and ensuring a place for those who have worked hard,” he said.

He mentioned that individuals such as the Mandal Party President and a Cluster In-Charge have been included in the Politburo. Stating that discipline is the very essence of the TDP, he said working with discipline -- from the grassroots worker all the way up to the Party President -- is the fundamental principle of the TDP.

“You must interact with the public gently and remain accessible to them. You must serve as a bridge between the people and the government. If leaders or party workers commit errors, it brings disrepute to both the party and the government.”

CM Naidu praised his son Nara Lokesh, who took oath as the party’s national working president. He said Lokesh played a pivotal role while TDP was in the opposition. From conducting training sessions to overseeing the welfare of party activists, he discharged his responsibilities with great efficiency.

Lokesh is working tirelessly to fulfil our promise of providing 20 lakh jobs. If global companies have chosen to invest in Andhra Pradesh, it is largely due to Lokesh, he said. “It was in recognition of Lokesh's competence that we entrusted him with the responsibilities of the working president.

It’s not merely a post. It’s a huge responsibility.” CM Naidu claimed that with the assistance of the Central government, the state government is steering the economy, which was on life support, back to recovery. “We are taking steady steps and bringing our systems back on track.

We have revived stalled Central schemes and are in the process of rescheduling debts. We have fulfilled our "Super Six" guarantees and are delivering welfare benefits to the people.” He claimed that the government successfully restored the brand image and public trust that the state had lost during the previous administration.

Accusing the YSR Congress Party of false propaganda against the government, he urged the cadres to counter the same by placing facts before people. “A party driven by a killing mentality has no concern for public welfare and harbours an aversion to development.

While the state government strives to secure funds, its adversaries are actively attempting to obstruct these efforts. Despite their obstruction, investments are flowing into the state on a massive scale, driven by the confidence placed in us,” he added.
