A grand felicitation ceremony was organized at Government Girls Model Higher Secondary School (GGMHSS) Mubarak Mandi to celebrate the outstanding performance of students in the JKBOSE Class 12th Annual Examination Session 2025–2026.

The event was graced by MLA Jammu East Constituency, Yudhvir Sethi as Chief Guest, while DEPO Jammu, B.D. Sharma attended as Guest of Honour. Distinguished members of the School Management Committee, including Raj Singh, Ram Magotra, H.C. Katoch, Rajesh Verma, Satish Sharma and Ramesh Kumar, were also present.

The programme was conducted under the guidance of Principal Neelam Sharma and Vice Principal Anayat Rehman. The proceedings of the function were conducted by Poonam Rajput, Bindu Gandotra and Rajnish, who welcomed the Chief Guest and other guests as anchors of the programme.

Addressing the gathering, Yudhvir Sethi congratulated the students and teachers for achieving excellent results and said that consistent hard work and dedication are the keys to success. He stated that students of government schools are proving their capability and talent across all streams.

“Education is the strongest foundation for a bright future, and such achievements reflect the commitment of both students and teachers,” he said. On the occasion, Yudhvir Sethi announced the installation of a water cooler for the school from his Constituency Development Funds to ensure better facilities for students.

He also announced that an auditorium hall will be constructed in the near future to support academic and co-curricular activities. The school recorded an impressive overall result of 91.08 per cent in Class 12 examinations. It secured 9 board positions, 190 distinctions, and 68 first divisions, reflecting the dedication of students and teachers alike.

Among the top performers, Vidushi Verma secured 4th position in the Science stream with 97.8 per cent, while Tejasvi Thakur and Vasudha Verma secured 10th positions with 97.8 per cent each. In Home Science, Siya Chouhan secured 1st position with 458/500 (91.6 per cent), followed by Tejasvi 445/500 (89 per cent), Ananya Raina 409/500 (81.8 per cent), and Shivani Devi 391/500 (78.2 per cent). 

In Commerce, Shradha Chettri secured 3rd position with 99 per cent, while Pragati Sharma secured 6th position in Arts with 98 per cent. The position holders were felicitated with certificates and medals in recognition of their achievements, while other meritorious students were also appreciated.

Teachers from departments including English, Home Science, Biotechnology, Education, Psychology, Botany, Commerce, Mathematics, Statistics, Zoology, Sanskrit/Vedic Studies, Sociology, Stenography, and Vocational Studies were honoured for achieving 100 percent results, reflecting their dedication and commitment.

Principal Neelam Sharma congratulated all achievers and expressed gratitude to the Chief Guest, Guest of Honour, School Management Committee members, staff, parents, and students for making the event successful. The programme concluded with a formal vote of thanks followed by refreshments.
