JKLF Chairman, Muhammad Yasin Malik, Friday addressed a jointly held congregational prayer meeting at Budshah Bridge which was attended by a large number of people who had come from the adjacent vicinities of Budsha Chowk as most of the masjids are still fully or partially under water.According to a statement issued to KNS Yasin Malik during his address appealed the international community to come to the rescue and rehabilitation mission of Kashmiri people who were hit by the devastating floods on 7th of September. He said that according to the Geneva Convention, it is the moral duty of the international community and the important institutions of the world to make their intervention and save humanity in Kashmir which is expected to suffer more after the flood water recedes at its normal level. He also appealed the international community especially UNO and OIC to fulfill their duty at this time of grief of Kashmiri people and take every possible step to rescue and rehab them. Yasin Malik condemned the Indian government for not allowing the Kashmiri diaspora from outside the world to send directly necessary relief items for their grief stricken brethren in Kashmir and he made a passionate appeal to international community to use their offices to let India allow this relief to reach to the flood victims who deserve and need it so as to save their lives.

Yasin Malik hailed the role of local residents especially the youth who not only saved hundreds of lives by putting their own lives at risk but are still working round the clock, at relief camps established at many places in Srinagar, to let the relief reaches to every needy person. He again thanked and appreciated those people who send the eatables, beddings, medicine and even water from far flung areas of Jammu Kashmir for these relief camps. He added that relief came in from Tangdar to Kargil and Poonch to Kishtwar. Yasin Malik said that government of India deliberately made the people over here to live such a pathetic life and they even left the traders to suffer by not taking necessary pre and post flood precautions. Yasin Malik said that India out of this calamity are doing politics and are busy in propagating that whatever rescue and relief work is being done it is only Indian army doing this which is contrary to reality. Yasin Malik assured the traders community that we are at your back and let you all fight this mindset with unity.Besides Yasin Malik the jumma prayers meeting was attended by Javed Ahmed Mir, Shabir Ahmed Dar, Muhammad AmeenMuglu, leaders of trader’s federation and JKLF senior leaders Noor Muhammad Kalwal and Showkat Ahmed Bakhshi.
