A meeting of the District Level Implementation Committee (DLIC) for Mission YUVA was today held by the Deputy Commissioner (Chairman, DLIC) Anantnag, Dr. Bilal Mohiuddin Bhat, at the DC Office. General Manager DIC, CPO, AD Employment, DSWO, DD NABARD, LDM, Employment Officer representatives from JKEDI, and other officials attended the meeting.

With focus on accelerating youth entrepreneurship in the district, the committee reviewed the progress of cases submitted under Mission YUVA. During the proceedings, 392 Cases, including 376 Nano, 15 MSME and one Existing Enterprise cases were placed before the committee and after thorough evaluation, all these 392 cases were approved for financial assistance, capacity building, and handholding under the mission.

Speaking on the occasion, the DC said that Mission YUVA is a transformative flagship initiative aimed at empowering youth by enabling them to become self-reliant entrepreneurs. He emphasised that the  goal is not only to provide financial support but to create a sustainable enterpreneurial ecosystem in which youth have access to training, market linkages, guidance, and long-term mentorship.

He termed Mission YUVA as "an investment in the potential, resilience, and creativity of youth" and expressed confidence that every approved project will act as a sustainable livelihood unit strengthening families and leading to a more self-reliant district. The DC directed all concerned departments, banks and implementing agencies to ensure time-bound sanctioning, hassle-free disbursement, and continuous mentoring of the approved cases.

He instructed that Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) must be completed without delay and emphasised that no application should remain pending unnecessarily at any level. Accountability, transparency, and efficiency must be maintained throughout the process, he noted. 

Linking the success of Mission YUVA with onground viability and sustainiblity of these ventures, the DC stressed the need for regular monitoring besides enhancing their skill sets and market access so the young entrepreneurs can scale their businesses in tune with the current trends and demands.

Dr. Bilal further said that Mission YUVA holds special significance for underprivileged and marginalised youth, who be given proper support to improve their socio-economic conditions. He said the district is making substantial progress in self employment avenues and reiterated the administration's commitment for encouraging and supporting youth to improve their socioeconomic and financial conditions through this flagship initiative.
