Education Secretary Ms. Prerna Puri, along with Ms. Radhika Singh, Director of Higher Education, Chandigarh Administration, today flagged off a 10-day State-Level Adventure Camp for NSS volunteers, scheduled from March 18 to March 28, 2026, in Manali, Himachal Pradesh. The camp is being organized by the Chandigarh NSS Cell in collaboration with the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Institute of Mountaineering and Allied Sports (ABVIMAS), Manali. Dr. Nemi Chand, State Liaison Officer, NSS, informed that a total of 60 NSS volunteers from 22 higher educational institutions, including Panjab University and Punjab Engineering College (PEC), are participating in the camp.

The camp will feature a wide range of adventure activities such as mountaineering, rock climbing, trekking, skiing, water sports, aero sports, and mountain biking, aimed at promoting physical fitness, teamwork, and leadership skills among the participants. The Secretary and Director of Higher Education congratulated and appreciated the efforts of the Chandigarh NSS Cell, highlighting the importance of such initiatives in ensuring the holistic development of NSS volunteers.
