Punjab Film & Media Committee Chairman Dinesh Auluck has expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Punjab Government and the Chief Minister for introducing new incentives and subsidies for Punjabi films and web series. Calling the move a “historic step” for the creative industry, Auluck said the Punjabi film fraternity had been waiting for such support for a long time.

According to Auluck, the announcement by Industry Minister Sanjeev Arora and Invest Punjab CEO Amit Dhaka brings new hope and energy to filmmakers, producers, and artists across the state. “This initiative will not only encourage filmmakers to create more Punjabi content but will also help promote Punjab’s culture, language, and talent on a global platform,” he said.

nder the new policy, the government has announced capital subsidies of up to ₹10 crore for film studios and film cities, along with financial support of up to ₹3 crore for the production of films and web series. Auluck described this as a major boost that will attract filmmakers to shoot and produce projects in Punjab.

He also appreciated the broader industrial incentives introduced by the government, including 125% incentives and rental subsidies for IT/ITES and GCC sectors, up to ₹50 crore incentives for healthcare institutions and medical colleges, capital subsidies up to ₹5 crore for tourism infrastructure, and up to ₹50 crore incentives for higher education institutions.

“These initiatives will strengthen multiple sectors and create employment opportunities across Punjab,” Auluck added. He said the film industry is committed to supporting the government’s vision by producing meaningful content that entertains audiences and showcases the vibrant spirit of Punjab.
