Sukhveer Singh Distributes ₹1.07 Crore Compensation to 193 Families in Dhuri Constituency

OSD to the CM, Sukhveer Singh, today distributed approval letters amounting to ₹1.07 crore to 193 affected families across 13 villages in the Dhuri constituency. The financial assistance has been sanctioned as compensation for houses damaged during heavy rains.

Addressing the gathering, OSD Sukhveer Singh reaffirmed the Punjab Government’s unwavering commitment to public welfare. He emphasized that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the government stands firmly with citizens during times of hardship and ensures timely support to those in need.

He informed that families whose houses were completely damaged have been granted financial assistance of ₹1.20 lakh per family, while those whose homes suffered partial damage have received ₹40,000 each. The compensation has been sanctioned strictly in accordance with prescribed norms and through a transparent and accountable process.

Highlighting the government’s priority-driven approach, OSD Sukhveer Singh stated that addressing the concerns of Dhuri residents remains a top priority. He directed concerned officials to promptly review and resolve any pending cases to ensure that no eligible family is deprived of relief.

The beneficiaries included families from the following villages: Alal (9), Ballian (5), Bamal (38), Baradwal (17), Bhasaur (6), Cheema (12), Dugni (28), Hasanpur (9), Issi (13), Jatimajra (1), Mullowal (18), Pedhni Kalan (13), and Ruldu Singh Wala (24). In a separate gesture of support, financial assistance of ₹1 lakh was also provided from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund to a resident of village Daulatpur suffering from a serious kidney ailment.

Among those present on the occasion were Joint Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Sandeep Singh Garha, SDM Dhuri Dr. Ismat Vijay Singh, Rishabh Bansal, Chief Minister’s Field Officer Arvind Kumar, Pushpinder Sharma; Ramandeep Singh; along with a large number of beneficiaries and local dignitaries.

Concluding the programme, OSD Sukhveer Singh reiterated that the Punjab Government remains steadfast in its mission to deliver people-centric governance and ensure that every deserving citizen receives timely and transparent assistance.
