Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar, Akshay Labroo on Tuesday undertook a visit to Government Boys Middle School (GBMS), Baghat Shoor at Lal Bazar to oversee the progress of ongoing infrastructural upgradation works.

Additional Deputy Commissioner , Mir Imtiyaz Ul Aziz; Chief Planning Officer, Fayaz Ahmad Dar; Superintending Engineer, R&B Circle North, Shabir Ahmad; Chief Education Officer, Ghulam Mohi-Ud Din; Executive Engineer, R&B Division Core, Arif Rehman Hazari; Tehsildar, Eidgah, Mohammad Iqbal Zargar and other concerned accompanied the DC during the visit.

On the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner took stock of the ongoing works and inspected various sections of the building. He reviewed the pace and quality of construction work being carried out by R&B department under Samagra Shiksha aimed to strengthen educational infrastructure and enhance the overall learning experience for students in the area.

The DC directed the concerned to accelerate the pace of work to ensure timely completion of the project while maintaining high standards of quality and safety. The DC emphasized that upgrading school infrastructure is essential for providing a better learning environment to students in the area. He also interacted with school authorities and executing agencies, stressing that the renovated facilities are made available to students at the earliest.
