The Shiromani Akali Dal today lashed out at the Congress party for its hue and cry over the letter of Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley and said that infact Jaitley has assured the state of considering its case for package after submission of report of 14th Finance Commission. In a statement released here today, the SAD Treasurer and Chief Parliamentary Secretary Mr. NK Sharma said that the Congress party was raising hue and cry only to pert the attention of the public from the projects which the Modi government has sanctioned for the state in just 100 days of its governance. He said that the  Modi government has sanctioned  IIM Jalandhar, Smart City Amritsar, Mega Food Park at Fazilka, 2000 Megawatt Solar Power Project, 10 lakh tonnes of coal for thermal plants in state and more than Rs. 8000 crore projects of four laning of roads in the state apart from Rs. 2526 crore grant in three months. He said that the Congress has gone berserk seeing these projects and is now resorting to misinformation campaign only to pert the attention of the public from the development works.

The SAD leader said that in his own constituency Derabassi projects more than Rs. 300 crore have been sanction by the Modi government. He said that Sports Centre for the Disabled, another Sports Authority of India centre and grants for the Over bridge had already arrived. He said that this is just the beginning and Punjab would proved to be maximum beneficiary of the Modi government. He asked the Congress leaders to tell the people what they had brought for the state during the rule of the UPA-II ?Lashing out at the Congress for trying to create a wedge between the alliance partners SAD and BJP, Mr. Sharma said that the nefarious design of the Congress party would fall flat as the alliance is natural and  would not only continue but strengthen further in future. He advised the Congress leadership to shun its negative propaganda and start working for the betterment of the state with positive thinking.
