Bhagwant Mann is the Chief Minister of Punjab, and the people of Punjab will themselves deal with his failures. However, the people of Punjab will not accept Arvind Kejriwal as the “Super CM” of the state.

These remarks were made by Punjab Bharatiya Janata Party President Sunil Jakhar while addressing party core committee members, state office-bearers, and leaders during the BJP’s protest and gherao of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s official residence.

The protest was held against the government’s failure to control the spread of lawlessness, gangsterism, corruption, and drugs. On this occasion, BJP Punjab Working President Ashwani Sharma; former Punjab minister and former state president Manoranjan Kalia; former Union Minister and former state president Vijay Sampla; former MP and former state president Shwet Malik; former Union Minister Maharani Preneet Kaur; former Union Minister Som Parkash; core committee members Jeevan Gupta, Kewal Dhillon, and Bibi Amanjot Ramuwalia; MLA Jangi Lal Mahajan; former MLA Sarabjit Singh Makkar; state general secretaries Anil Sareen and Rakesh Rathore; state vice presidents Dr. Subhash Sharma, Bikram Cheema, K.D. ➖ Vacate the CM-quota House No. 50 occupied by Kejriwal – Sunil Jakhar

Addressing the gathering, State President Sunil Jakhar said that the BJP leadership had come to get House No. 50, allotted under the Chief Minister’s quota, vacated from Arvind Kejriwal, who is acting as the de facto ruler of Punjab.

He said that the people of the state want Punjab’s Chief Minister to be a Punjabi, and they will not tolerate someone from outside coming and ruling Punjab. Jakhar added that they had actually come to help restore Bhagwant Mann’s authority as Chief Minister, but by getting party leaders arrested through the police, Mann had harmed his own position.

➖ Mann government has failed on law and order – Ashwani Sharma

Speaking to the media during the BJP protest outside the Chief Minister’s residence, Punjab BJP Working President Ashwani Sharma alleged that an atmosphere of lawlessness prevails in the state and that the Mann government has completely failed to maintain law and order. He said the AAP government had promised the rule of law but has utterly failed to deliver it.

Ashwani Sharma further said that BJP leaders had gone to meet the Chief Minister to seek answers to their questions, but the Chief Minister did not consider it necessary to come out and engage in dialogue. He emphasized that the BJP is not on the streets for personal interests but for the future of Punjab.

Fear of gangsters is increasing in the state, with some criminal incidents occurring almost every day. People go to sleep at night fearing that bad news may greet them in the morning. He said such conditions remind people of the era of terrorism.

➖ Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and his government have forgotten the real pain of the people – Union Minister of State for Railways Ravneet Singh Bittu

Union Minister of State for Railways Ravneet Singh Bittu strongly criticized the Aam Aadmi Party government in Punjab, stating that CM Bhagwant Mann and his government have forgotten the real pain of the people.

He claimed that in the name of security, the government is keeping ordinary citizens away from political events and development-related programs by erecting barricades and creating “D” security zones. He said this approach is eroding public trust and suppressing the voice of the people.

Raising the issue of Punjab Roadways, Bittu said that the use of buses for political events for three days caused severe inconvenience to ordinary passengers and resulted in losses of ₹5–7 crore to the Roadways. He alleged that putting Aam Aadmi Party flags and banners on government buses is a blatant misuse of public resources.

➖ Former Punjab minister and former BJP Punjab state president Manoranjan Kalia said that due to the continuously deteriorating law-and-order situation, Punjab is now heading towards a frightening environment reminiscent of terrorism in the 1980s.
