Aryans Group of Colleges organized a Tree Plantation Drive in the college campus situated at Chandigarh Patiala Highway, Near Chandigarh. Hundreds of saplings including Silver oak, Gulmohar, Chakrasia, Ashoka, Tun, Neem were planted by the students, staff and Management. The Drive was inaugurated by Dr Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group.Dr Anshu Kataria while speaking on the occasion said that greenery and environmental protection is necessary for the survival of the mankind. He told the students to create awareness and participate in tree plantation drive everywhere. Indiscriminate felling of forests and pollution are the major problems, he added.
He also mentioned about the existing environmental problems that we are facing today and said that we can contribute in reducing the environmental problems by way of planting trees in and around us. He added that everyone should participate actively in tree plantation drive and conserve our environment for the future generation.Prof B S Sidhu, Registrar, Aryans Group addressed the students to take active participation in tree plantation drive and to preserve the nature for the benefit of the future generation. Prof Sidhu further said that we need to preserve the nature for the benefit of the future generation. He added that each one should look after the plants planted by him/her and also encourage others to plant one tree in their homes, villages and towns.
