Haryana Social Justice and Empowerment Minister, Sh. Krishan Kumar Bedi, said that under the guidance of Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi, a major nationwide campaign is being carried out to promote swadeshi products. Through this campaign, the general public is being encouraged to adopt locally-made goods.
The goal set by Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi to build a developed India by the year 2047 can only be achieved through self-reliance. The ‘Vocal for Local’ movement has today become the mantra of the entire nation, symbolizing the self-respect, strength, and resolve of every Indian.
Cabinet Minister Sh. Krishan Kumar Bedi was interacting with media on Friday at the event organized at Kurukshetra Railway Station under the Aatmanirbhar Bharat Railway Sampark Abhiyan. He said that Haryana is the growth engine of the nation. Haryana will set an example for other states in taking forward Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi’s vision of “Make in India” and “Make for World”.
To fulfil the objective of promoting swadeshi products, the BJP-led government is working to transform every youth from a job seeker into a job provider. The Aatmanirbhar Bharat Sankalp Abhiyan is gradually taking the shape of a mass movement.
The Aatmanirbhar Bharat Sankalp Abhiyan is based on the pillars of swadeshi products, indigenous attire, and indigenous language. Today, through 1.6 lakh startups, the youth of our nation are challenging foreign companies by delivering quality products and services not just within the country but also abroad.
He said that providing opportunities for studying complex subjects such as medicine, engineering, and science in Indian languages is a major step in this direction. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi, India’s defence exports have increased 34-fold. Swadeshi UPI has created its own distinct identity by facilitating transactions worth Rs 24 lakh crore.
India is supplying 20 percent of the world’s generic medicines, 60 percent of global vaccines, 40 percent of the medicines used in the United States, and 25 percent of those used in the United Kingdom. With such achievements, India is continuously strengthening itself on every front and on global platforms through the power of swadeshi production.
He said that it is now our collective responsibility that we all buy domestically produced goods, traders sell domestically produced goods, and farmers move towards natural farming. When every citizen of Haryana begins adopting swadeshi products in their personal, family, social, and professional life, the day is not far when Haryana, as the nation’s growth engine, will set an exemplary benchmark for other states.
