Haryana Education Minister, Sh. Mahipal Dhanda said that the State Government has formally approved renaming Government College Jakhauli (Sonipat) as Samrat Prithviraj Chauhan Government College, Jakhauli, honouring its historical importance. Chief Minister, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini has accorded approval to a proposal sent by the Higher Education Department.
The Education Minister said that Samrat Prithviraj Chauhan has been a symbol of indomitable valour, courage, and nationalism in Indian history, and naming the college after him will inspire the youth with patriotism, leadership qualities, and historical awareness. He added that the State Government is committed to developing educational institutions not merely as centres of learning, but also as carriers of cultural and historical values.
Sh. Mahipal Dhanda this change will not only enrich the academic environment but also provide students with an opportunity to draw inspiration from their glorious past.
