Today, President of the Shiromani Akali Dal Youth Wing, S. Sarabjeet Singh Jhinjer, and Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee member, Jathedar Jasmer Singh Lachharu, held a special meeting with Shiromani Akali Dal President, S. Sukhbir Singh Badal. On this occasion, both leaders expressed heartfelt gratitude for the trust and responsibility bestowed upon them.

Recently, President S. Sukhbir Singh Badal appointed Jathedar Jasmer Singh Lachharu as Vice President and S. Sarabjeet Singh Jhinjer as Incharge of the Ghanaur constituency. These new responsibilities will play a significant role in further strengthening the organisational structure of the Shiromani Akali Dal.

During the meeting, S. Sarabjeet Singh Jhinjer assured that he will work with complete dedication, commitment and sincerity to strengthen the Akali Dal across the constituency. He said that bringing youth into the party fold and strengthening the organisational network will remain his top priorities.

On this occasion, Jhinjer praised the leadership, vision, and commitment of President S. Sukhbir Singh Badal towards public service. He said that S. Badal has always encouraged new ideas, fresh initiatives, and dynamic teams to strengthen the party.

His understanding of grassroots issues and his ability to connect with the people have consistently enhanced the Akali Dal’s reputation across villages and constituencies. Jhinjer added that with S. Sukhbir Singh Badal’s guidance and inspiration, he will further expand the party’s reach by connecting every worker with the organisation.

Jathedar Jasmer Singh Lachharu and S. Sarabjeet Singh Jhinjer jointly stated that with these new responsibilities, they will now work with even greater enthusiasm and ensure that in the upcoming elections, the Shiromani Akali Dal secures a massive majority in 5 Zila Parishads as well as all 35 Block Samitis of Ghanaur and Shambhu.

Jhinjer further said that their work will not be limited to elections alone. Throughout the year, they will continue addressing people’s issues across every area of the constituency. They will visit each locality personally to listen to people’s grievances and provide solutions.

“Our goal is not just politics — our foremost responsibility is the protection of Panth, Punjabi identity, and agriculture.” He added that President S. Sukhbir Singh Badal has always maintained a firm and clear stand on these core issues, and they will continue working in the same direction.

He said that meetings will be held in every village, and the focus will be on real, on-ground work rather than paperwork. Both leaders also clarified that a special awareness campaign will be launched to take the ideology of the Shiromani Akali Dal to every household in Ghanaur, Shambhu, and nearby areas.

They said people today expect clean politics, honest leadership, and visible ground-level work — and the Akali Dal is fully capable of meeting these expectations. Strengthening rural infrastructure, safeguarding farmers’ rights, connecting youth with employment opportunities, and preserving religious institutions — these four areas will remain key priorities of the new team.

Both leaders assured that they will work collectively with every party worker to ensure that the Shiromani Akali Dal stands strong once again and fulfils the expectations of the people. Speaking on the Tarn Taran by-election, Jhinjer said that the Shiromani Akali Dal securing second position clearly shows that people still place immense trust in the party.

He said that this performance has boosted the morale of workers and indicates that people want to bring forward a party rooted in principles, development-oriented politics, and Panthic vision. “This result is a clear message from the people that the Shiromani Akali Dal remains their most trusted and preferred party.”
