Mansa Residents to Get Relief from Sewage problem with ₹43.90 Crore Pipeline Project

Residents of Mansa will get relief from longstanding sewage drainage issues as a ₹43.90 crore project to lay a pipeline (rising main) for wastewater progresses rapidly. The project involves laying a 15-km pipeline from the Main Pumping Station Mansa to Saharna Sirhind Choe. 

Additionally, four new 75 HP pumps will be installed to enhance the system's efficiency.  MLA Vijay Singla, during a site inspection stated that the project will resolve a major civic challenge upon completion. "This ₹43.90 crore endeavour will eliminate sewage water disposal problems.

Deputy Commissioner Navjot Kaur, IAS, emphasised the administration's commitment to quality and transparency. "We are conducting regular reviews of all ongoing projects as per directions of Punjab Government. No lapses will be tolerated, she added.

She also give directions for timely completion of the project.  XEN Sewerage Board Rajinder Garg informed that the project is on track for completion by the end of March 2026.
