As the season of travel sets in, people across the nation begin charting their escapes — some gravitating toward the sun-kissed beaches, while others head northward in search of snow, serenity, and the laughter that surrounds campfires. It is in this spirit of exploration that Soumita Saha’s latest composition, “Waadiyon Ke Sang,” finds its home — a song that celebrates the beauty of valleys, mountains, and waterfalls, embodying the true essence of a journey.

Composed and co-written with Dhrubo, and released under Melotunes, the song stands as a melodic ode to wanderlust. Soumita, who continues to explore creative collaborations through her official YouTube channel, has embraced YouTube’s newly launched feature in association with the music company — a promising step that strengthens the bond between the right audience and the right artist, benefiting creators and labels alike.

“Waadiyon Ke Sang” is a song of wanderlust — a ballad of the mountains that sings in praise of waterfalls and the pristine beauty of the hills, where butterflies of myriad hues find their home. The composition seamlessly blends indie pop with the soulful cadence of Pahari folk, enriched by the mellifluous notes of the Pahari flute and gracefully layered with modern instrumentation.

The music video, featuring Soumita herself, beautifully captures the charm of the Himalayan landscapes. Edited and aesthetically enhanced by the creative team at Art@Soumita Studios, the visuals mirror the song’s tranquil yet spirited essence. While the teaser and glimpses from its making are already streaming, the full video is set for release on November 10, across major music platforms.

Reflecting on her creation, Soumita shares, “‘Waadiyon Ke Sang’ is what I call the song of wanderlust — a ballad of the Himalayas that captures the soul of its mountains, waterfalls, and tranquil valleys. Each journey into nature feels like a return to myself, a rediscovery of peace and purpose. Blending the purity of Pahari folk with the charm of indie pop, this song reflects how nature’s beauty touches an urban heart.

Co-written with Dhrubo, it celebrates creation through a melody where the rhythm of the city meets the voice of the hills — an Indie Folk tribute to the magic of the mountains.” The song has been recorded and mixed by Rana Mondal, completing the sonic tapestry of a piece that feels both intimate and expansive — much like the hills it sings about.
