The national conference is releasing 4th list of its party candidates in the near future and the same is likely to be the final one of the party, Party general secretary Ali Mohammad Sagar said.Talking to KNS he maintained that the deliberations over the issuance of the list is going on within the party leadership and that soon the list will be made public. Guarded in his words, Sagar maintained that Omar’s name will likely included in the list besides several others.
The reports meanwhile maintained that there is an uproar within the national conference over the issuance of mandates to its leaders for the upcoming state elections with the uncertainty prevailing over Ganderbal and Bandipora. Sources within the party stated that the leadership is yet to take final call over the mandates in Ganderbal and Bandipora. All the issue of north Kashmir’s Tangmarg is seriously being discussed with party leader and former bureaucrat Showkat mir demanding mandate from the turf. Mir has reportedly stated that he was promised Ganderbal while making his formal entry into national conference.
Sources have stated that the party leadership is making deliberations over the name of Dr Farooq’s younger brother Shiekh Mustafa Kamal for Tangmarg. The leadership has stressed that Kamal must contest so that the notion could be ruled out that Abdullahs have bid farewell to NC.However, Sagar on Sunday denied all the reports stating that there is no rift within the party over the issuance of mandates to its leadership and that everything is going on smoothly within the national conference with the views and suggestions of NC workers across the state being given top priority.
