In a significant step to enhance the power supply grievance redressal mechanism for consumers, PSPCL started a new call center in Mohali today. The center was inaugurated by MLA Sh. Kulwant Singh, is being operated by Dr. ITM Pvt. Limited.

This initiative is part of the Power Outage Reduction Plan, launched by Punjab Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Mann and Power Minister Sh. Sanjeev Arora. The Mohali call center, with a capacity of 450 agents during peak months, will complement the existing Ludhiana center and significantly strengthen the state’s grievance redressal system.

Consumers can register electricity-related complaints via dialing 1912, mobile app, SMS, or missed call service. During peak periods, the center is expected to handle up to 70,000 calls per day, ensuring faster responses and higher consumer satisfaction.

Speaking to the media, MLA Sh. Kulwant Singh highlighted that the previous Ludhiana call center was insufficient to meet the state’s demand. The addition of the Mohali center with more operators, will provide a substantial boost to grievance resolution and ensure that public concerns regarding power supply are addressed promptly.

He added that the new facility will operate 24x7 and is a key component of the Rs. 5,000 Crore Outage Reduction Plan aimed at reducing power interruptions and strengthening infrastructure across Punjab. Chief Engineer (IT), PSPCL, Sunil Bansal, stated that consumers from any category or area of the state can now easily register their electricity-related complaints through multiple channels, including dialing 1912, mobile app, SMS, and missed call service.

With this initiative, PSPCL continues to reinforce its commitment to efficient, transparent, and citizen-friendly services, ensuring timely grievance resolution and uninterrupted power supply for all consumers across Punjab.
