Out of the total lot of clerks selected by the Subordinate Services Selection Board, 220 clerks would be deputed in the Punjab Education Department. The recruitment letter to these clerks would be given away on August 31. On the other hand 5823 new teachers would be recruited by the end of September 2014. It was disclosed by Dr. Daljit Singh Cheema, Education Minister, Punjab in a press communiqué released here today.

Dr. Cheema said that all such 220 clerks have asked to reach at the DPI (Senior Secondary) office Mohali on August 31. He said that out of these total 220 clerks, who would be posted in education department, 165 clerks would be deputed at Circle and District Level offices whereas 55 clerks would be deputed at Head Office. He said that the candidates have been called at DPI (Senior Secondary) office Mohali on Sunday, August 31 at 10 a.m.

The Minister said that the posting to the clerks would be given purely on merit and as per the demand of the employee. All the candidates have been asked to reach the venue on August 31 with their original certificates and one photograph. Dr. Cheema further said that the fresh recruitment of 5823 teachers would be completed by the end of September 2014. He said that out of new lot of teachers 5178 teachers would be master cadre whereas 645 D.P.E would also be recruited. He said that the recruitment process for 646 PTI teachers would also be started in the month of September for which the Punjab Cabinet has already given its nod.
