National BJP leader Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal Bhukhri Kalan has raised a serious alarm regarding threats to his life from gangsters and land mafia. Grewal said that with utmost respect, he has already submitted a formal complaint to His Excellency Shri Gulab Chand Kataria, Hon’ble Governor of Punjab & Administrator, Chandigarh.

In his complaint, he highlighted the grave situation where gangsters and land mafia, led by Tarsem Singh Soni in collusion with Jimmy Phagwara and Preet Chautala, have issued credible death threats against him. He said that he has also submitted the same complaint to the Senior Superintendent of Police, UT Chandigarh, Smt. Kanwardeep Kaur, IPS, along with audio evidence in which gangsters can be clearly heard threatening that even security cannot save him.

Grewal told that this is not just a personal threat but a grave national security issue. He revealed that the gangster-terrorist nexus has direct links with Pakistan’s ISI, SFJ’s Gurpatwant Singh Pannu, Pak-based terrorist Harvinder Singh Rinda and Babbar Khalsa.

He further said that he has demanded immediate registration of an FIR, a thorough investigation, and police protection for himself and his family. He stressed that such threats go beyond individual safety and strike at the root of the security of the nation.

Grewal informed that this complaint has also been brought to the notice of the Union Home Minister, Minister of State for Home, Union Home Secretary, Research and Analysis Wing (RAW), National Investigation Agency (NIA) and the Directors General of Police of Chandigarh and Punjab.

He said that as a nationalist citizen, he places his full faith in the Indian State, its security forces, and the rule of law. He added that urgent intervention is not only his plea but also the duty of the State to protect law-abiding citizens from the gangster-terrorist nexus.

Grewal expressed confidence that the Hon’ble Governor, Union Home Ministry and national security agencies will take immediate and strong action to safeguard both individual lives and the integrity of the nation.
