While terming the unity among the pro-freedom people for facing the dangerous policies of Modi government with regarding to Kashmir and the irresponsible approach of the local pro-Indian parties like NC and PDP towards the national issues, as unavoidable and necessity of the time, Chairman Hurriyat Conference Sayed Ali Geelani with some conditions appealed all the pro-freedom organizations to assemble at a one place.In a statement issued to KNS after holding an important executive meeting (Majlish Shoora), Geelani said that the doors of Hurriyat Conference are open for any person, organization or any forum who will assure that he will not accept any four point formula, soft borders, status-quo or any other out of box solution to the Kashmir dispute instead of complete freedom from India, that he will not take part in any bilateral or triangular meaningless and result-less dialogues and he will not participate in anyway directly or indirectly in the election process which is held under the Indian constitution, and “in this crucial time, we will feel glade and happy for welcoming such a person or party.”
He said that ‘we have no hesitation in saying that the unity among the pro-freedom people in the past got harmed when the agreed principles, constitution and ideology was violated and instead of paying concentration towards the set goal, other options were discussed and attempts were made to implement those options’.Geelani said that in the view of past experience, we are of the view that for the future unity, one condition is very important that any person or the party who will violate the agreed principles, constitutions or the above mentioned conditions, will get automatically separated from the union and his membership will be termed void.
Today Hurriyat Conference (G) held an important executive meeting (Majlish Shoora) at Hyderpora office which was presided by its chairman Geelani, in which the present situation was thoroughly discussed. The meeting discussed various aspects of the dangerous policies and conspiracies of BJP government with regarding to the Kashmir and the power politics of the local pro-Indian parties and the future strategies were discussed to confront this situation. All the members of the executive body unanimously agreed upon the fact that the extraordinary situations need extraordinary steps and at this crucial stage, any kind of negligence or carelessness of the nation would have serious consequences and it can also severely harm our freedom struggle.
“The atrocities and cruelties from India will not only rise but the attempts will be made to bury the Kashmir issue once for all. The fanatic and communal minded people not only will make extraordinary efforts to convert the Muslim majority of the Jammu & Kashmir state into the minorities but they will also try to eliminate our religious as well as national identity in every possible ways. In his presidential address,” Geelani said that in the view of present situation, it has become very essential for the pro-freedom groups to get united and unitedly face this situation. He further said that no intellectual or conscious person will be against the principle based unity, however for any kind of unity, the similarity of goals and course of action is a vital condition.
“The two persons can’t board the same bus who are to travel in the opposite directions. Hurriyat chairman said that at the time when we are inviting all the pro-freedom groups for the unity, it is in no way suitable to discuss the reasons of the dissolution of the past unity but it is important to remind that this tragedy harmed the freedom struggle and it encouraged our enemies.”He said that the conditions which we consider vital for the unity are in no way to hurt or degrade anybody but we want that the history regarding the past unity should not be repeated in future and we all should precede with clear goals and unambiguous course of action. Geelani said that the freedom movement of any nation can’t be time bound. The rise and fall of the nations consume centuries and we should trust almighty Allah with a hope that one day we will succeed because no powerful country of the world has ever enslaved any weak nation for the long. It is the everlasting principle of nature which can’t change.Meanwhile, Geelani has condemned the arrest of woman separatist leader Zamrooda Habib, the Hurriyat (G) spokesman Ayaz Akbar told KNS.
