The Delhi Book Fair 2014 continues to the fourth day with success. Painting & writing competitions, book launches, workshops and interactive programmes are carried on each day with full swing.The Bachpan Society for Children’s Literature and Culture organized an book release and ceremony in partnership with Aseem’s Library and Aman Biradri Trust. The event was addressed by Mrs. Girja Rani Asthana, secretary of Bachpan Society and the founder of Aseem’s Library Mrs. Nadira Chaturvedi.The Bachpan Society have put endless efforts in supporting homeless and under-privileged children. “We adults can learn a lot from children. Sometimes they hide their troubles and reveal them in their writing. Our children have written stories and poetries on education, friendship, their favourite things and even on the loss of a parent. It is heartwarming” said Mrs. Nadira Chaturvedi.
Mrs. Girja Rani Asthana released her book “Okay, Mom” for the children aged between 5-11 years. Other books that were launched were “Night” and “Home” by Usha Saxena, Sumita Kakkar and Shilpa Mahajan, “Ganpati Bappa Moriya” compiled by the children of Bachpan Society and “Phir Khile Phool” by Mrs. Nadira Chaturvedi. Many private schools attended the programme. Skits and dance sessions were performed by the children on the theme of “Pustakon Se Manch Par Sant.”Diamond Pocket Books launched “Kingdom of Shiva”. The author, Shree Sivkishen is a renowned Vedic Researcher and Industrialist. According to him, the book is written for the youth to restore their faith. “We as humans lack beliefs. Mythology and the Veda’s are just as strong as science, if you chose to believe in them. The transparent theme of this book is to highlight Vedic wisdom. This work lucidly explains the creative secrets with scientific base.” He added. The book release event was inaugurated by former CBI director Mr. Joginder Singh and Mr. Mahesh Giri, M.P. East Delhi.
