Filmfare held a press conference on August 13, 2025 in Chandigarh for their upcoming Bhutani Filmfare Awards Punjabi 2025, an event that celebrates and honours remarkable talent and art of storytelling in Punjabi cinema. The conference was graced by Sargun Mehta, Ashwini Chatley, Director, Bhutani Group, Sanchit Chopra, Senior Vice President, EaseMyTrip, Mr. Abhishek Singh (Chairman & Managing Director, Force of Talent), and Mr. Jitesh Pillaai (Editor-in-Chief, Filmfare).
The conference began with a symbolic lamp-lighting ceremony signifying the official launch of Bhutani Filmfare Awards Punjabi 2025. In a special moment, the iconic ‘Black Lady’ was revealed to the audience present at the conference.
At the event, Sargun Mehta spoke about her love for Filmfare and how her introduction for years has been as the two-time Filmfare award winner and how honoured she was to be present for the press conference of Filmfare Awards Punjabi 2025. She also revealed that Moh holds a special place in her heart and is the film she feels deeply connected with.
The highly anticipated Bhutani Filmfare Awards Punjabi will light up the stage with spectacular performances by Yo Yo Honey Singh, Neeru Bajwa, Jacqueline Fernandez, Maniesh Paul, and Soundarya Sharma. The grand celebration will take place on August 23, 2025, in the I.S. Bindra PCA Stadium in Sector 63, Mohali, Chandigarh.
