The Punjab Education Minister Dr. Daljit Singh Cheema today sought foolproof arrangements regarding traffic and security for scheduled Teachers Eligibility Test scheduled for 24th August, 2014 at over 345 centres across the state.In two separate communiqués to ADGP, Security & ADGP, Traffic, the Minister said that since lakhs of candidates have to appear in this test, it was imperative to have proper security and traffic arrangements for this and Police department should make proper arrangements for the same.Meanwhile, the Punjab Government has done all arrangement for smooth conduction of Teacher Eligibility test which was conduct on August 24 in the state.  Dr Cheema said that the state government has set up 400 examination centre for conducting TET in which 183695 students would appear. Out of 183695 students, 47859 students would appear for TET-1 where as 135836 students appear for TET-2. He said that TET-1 would be conducted from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm for ETT passed students and TET-2 would be conducted from 2:30 pm to 5:00 pm for B.Ed. passed students. He said that special arrangements have been made for physically challenged students at all centres and they would also be given 20 minutes extra per hour. He said that in order to ensure the transparency and to check the mal practice videography would be conducted at all centres. For the smooth conduction of the test 36 Nodal Centres have also been established at District as well as Sub pision level. Similarly helpline 1860 180 1814 (Toll Free) has also been set up.Dr. Cheema said that strict instructions have been issued for transparent conduct of the test. He said that in students have been permitted to carry home the carbon copy of the answer sheet along with question paper, so that they could self evaluate themselves. After two days of examination the original answer sheet of question paper would be uploaded on website. Students could file objections within five days of the declaration of the results.
