These camps are aimed to achieve 100 percent saturation of all eligible beneficiaries from the tribal communities for various schemes. Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar, Akshay Labroo presided over the inaugural Awareness & Benefit Saturation Camp at Fakir Gujri Panchayat of the district marking the beginning of a series of outreach and service delivery camps.

Additional District Development Commissioner, Rifat Aftab Qureshi; Chief Planning Officer Srinagar, Fayaz Ahmad Dar; Assistant Commissioner Panchayats, Deeba Khalid; BDO Harwan and officers of all line departments attended the inaugural event.

Speaking on the occasion, DC said that the campaign is an effort aimed at saturating tribal families with individual entitlements as stipulated under various schemes and habitations with basic facilities.

He remarked that the initiative will ensure to cover every eligible household that has remained unreached and will provide facilities at the doorsteps of the beneficiaries without visiting Government offices.

Responding to the demands and issues raised by the DDC members and other local representatives, DC assured the tribal community that all their genuine issues and demands will be resolved on priority basis for overall welfare and development of the area.

On the occasion, Chief Planning Officer Srinagar, Fayaz Ahmad Dar also highlighted the objectives of the ‘Dharti Aaba Abhiyan–Awareness and Benefit Saturation Camps’ reaffirming inter-departmental collaboration and support for tribal welfare.
