Ahead of the Ludhiana West by-election, Congress and BJP faced another significant political setback. On Monday, hundreds of Congress leaders joined the Aam Aadmi Party. Leaders who joined include Deep Sandhu, Bhola, Jassa, Goli, Moni, Gurpreet Singh, Vijay Pal, Mukesh, Bunty Gujjar, Happy Gujjar, Aditya, Sulekh Chand, Rahul, Shiva, Shivam, Ajay, Ashwani, Sahil, Abhishek, Anil, Surinder, Meenu, Akshay, Gagan, Sachin, Akash, Jatin, Ansh, Rohit, Gurnek, Robin, Sam, and Jatinderpal Singh Bedi.
Similarly, BJP also suffered a blow, with BJP leader Jatinderpal Singh Bedi, BJP Yuva Morcha President Rohit Maan, Meet President Prince Baggan, and Amit Kumar joining the Aam Aadmi Party.In addition, Sumit Sood, Kaku Sood, Sunil, Shemi, Karam, Sanjeev Kumar Chawla, Vishal, Pawan, Mandeep, Ashu, Arun, Sahil, Rohan, Karan, Vipin Kumar, Jaswant Kaur, and Madhu Bala also joined the Aam Aadmi Party.
Cabinet Minister Tarunpreet Singh Sondh, in the presence of AAP leaders Dr. Sunny Ahluwalia and Harchand Singh Barsat, formally inducted all the new members into the Aam Aadmi Party and extended a warm welcome to them.
On this occasion, Minister Tarunpreet Singh Sondh stated that the joining of these individuals into the Aam Aadmi Party proves that people are satisfied with the pro-people initiatives of the AAP government under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann. He expressed confidence that the people of Ludhiana West would ensure a record victory for AAP candidate Sanjeev Arora and send him to the Vidhan Sabha.
