With a focus on ensuring last-mile delivery of government services and welfare schemes in tribal areas the district, district administration Kulgam is set to launch an intensive IEC (Information, Education & Communication) campaign under the Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan (DAJGUA) from June 15 to June 30, 2025.

In this connection, a meeting of officers was held today under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Athar Aamir Khan, at the DC Office Complex to finalize the arrangements for the upcoming campaign.

During the meeting, DC held a detailed review of the action plan and emphasized that the primary objective of the campaign is to achieve 100% saturation of all government schemes and beneficiary-oriented programmes at the grassroots level in tribal areas.

He stressed the importance of intensified outreach efforts and inter-departmental coordination for effective implementation of the campaign. It was informed that the programme is aimed at uplifting tribal communities and ensuring their inclusive socio-economic development.

DC directed departments to also organize IEC cum beneficiary saturation camps in tribal villages. The meeting was attended by Assistant Commissioner Development (ACD), Joint Director Planning and other senior officers.
