Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab Minister Tarunpreet Singh Sondh, exposed a conspiracy orchestrated by Congress leader Bharat Bhushan Ashu to gain political sympathy ahead of the Ludhiana West by-election. Addressing the a press conference, accompanied by AAP Punjab Working President Amansher Singh Shery Kalsi, Minister Sondh highlighted that a vigilance notice purportedly issued against Bharat Bhushan Ashu was part of a deceitful ploy devised by Ashu himself.
Upon investigation, it was uncovered that the vigilance SSP who issued the notice was a former classmate and close friend of Ashu. The minister revealed that Ashu manipulated his connections to fabricate the notice, aiming to portray himself as a victim and divert public attention from his alleged multi-crore corruption in a school land scam.
“This is possibly the first time in India’s political history that a politician has stooped so low and fabricated summons to play a victim card. Bharat Bhushan Ashu’s intent was clear—to garner sympathy by portraying himself as a target of the current government,” said Sondh.
He added that the fabricated notice aimed to shift focus away from the multi-crore school land scam, in which Ashu and his associates, including his brother, have been accused of misappropriating prime land meant for a school. The scam has deeply impacted parents, students, and alumni of the school, who are now demanding justice and action against those responsible.
AAP leader that the Congress party is resorting to desperate and unethical tactics out of fear of imminent defeat in Ludhiana West. "This level of dishonesty and manipulation reflects the crumbling moral fabric of Congress leadership," he stated.
Minister Sondh assured the public that strict action has been taken against the vigilance officer involved in this conspiracy. "The officer who misused his position to favour Ashu has been suspended.
Such behavior will not be tolerated under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann. The AAP government is committed to ensuring a corruption-free administration and will take all necessary steps to expose and punish those who exploit public trust," he affirmed.
Sondh further challenged the Congress leadership to address the allegations surrounding this scam. "The truth cannot be hidden. The scale of this scam is immense, and we are determined to reveal every detail and hold the guilty accountable.
I urge the media to engage with the alumni, parents, and stakeholders of the school to uncover the true extent of the corruption," he said.

AAP Minister Tarunpreet Singh Sondh criticized BJP and Congress for their alliance against AAP candidate Sanjeev Arora in Ludhiana West. "BJP has conceded defeat and is urging voters to not support AAP. Their fear of Sanjeev Arora’s clean image is evident," Sondh said.
He condemned Congress and BJP's unethical tactics, including fabricated notices, to divert attention from Bharat Bhushan Ashu’s corruption scandals. Sondh urged voters to choose honesty and development by electing Sanjeev Arora, emphasizing that Ludhiana West has already decided to support progress and integrity over deceit.
