Vigilance Nabs Patwari With Bribe Money Of Rs.10,000

Vigilance Bureau, Punjab today nabbed a Patwari with the bribe money of Rs.10,000. An official spokesperson of the bureau said that Mr. Jagdish Kumar of Village Basti Kesar Singh wali district Ferozepur has complained that Patwari Jagdev Singh posted at Revenue Circle, Guruharsahaye (Ferozepur) was demanding Rs.22,000 for mutation of land and the deal was matured for Rs.10,000.Acting on the tip of the complainant, Ferozepur Vigilance Bureau team, led by DSP Makhan Singh, laid a trap and nabbed Jagdev Singh, while accepting money from the complainant.A case under section 7 and 13 (2) of Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 has been registered against Jagdev Singh at Vigilance Bureau Police Station, Ferozepur.
