On the occasion of “World Red Cross Day”, members of the Himachal Pradesh State Red Cross Society, Red Cross Hospital Welfare Section, school children, Red Cross staff, and volunteers presented the Red Cross flag to Health Minister and Chairman of the Himachal Pradesh State Red Cross Managing Committee, Dr. (Col.) Dhani Ram Shandil at his residence in Shimla today.
This year, the theme of “World Red Cross Day” is “Keeping Humanity Alive”, which stresses the importance of empathy and compassion in humanitarian efforts. Students from Government Senior Secondary School, Portmore and Sambhota Tibetan School, Chotta Shimla participated and together with the members of the Hospital Welfare Section took out a rally to raise public awareness about the Red Cross.
