The International Labour Day was celebrated with enthusiasm and recognition at Kandhari Beverages, Samba at a collaborative event organized by the Office of the Assistant Labour Commissioner and the leading beverage manufacturer. 

The celebration honoured the invaluable contribution of workers to the economic growth and development of the district. Deputy Commissioner Samba Rajesh Sharma and Additional District Development Commissioner, Champa Thakur felicitated employees for their dedication and service. 

They emphasized the critical role that labourers play in society's advancement and prosperity. "The workforce is the backbone of our economy and deserves recognition not just today, but every day," stated the DC. 

He reaffirmed the administration's unwavering commitment to safeguarding workers’ welfare and rights while encouraging the labourers with words of appreciation. The highlight of the celebration was a free medical camp organised by the Department of AYUSH in collaboration with the Labour Department. 

Workers received comprehensive health check-ups and expert medical consultations as part of the administration's holistic approach to workers’ welfare. Assistant Labour Commissioner Himani Jerath delivered the vote of thanks and used the platform to educate workers about the newly implemented labour codes. 

She emphasized the importance of staying informed about their entitlements and legal protections, encouraging active participation in understanding their rights. The event exemplifies the district administration's ongoing dedication to worker empowerment and welfare initiatives, receiving enthusiastic participation from the workforce at Kandhari Beverages.
