Punjab Sikhiya Kranti: Development works worth Rs. 3.01 crore in 27 more Government Schools dedicated in Jalandhar

Under the state government’s initiative ‘Punjab Sikhiya Kranti’, today development works worth Rs. 3.01 crore were dedicated in 27 more government schools of the district, including development works worth Rs. 62.36 lakh in 14 government primary schools and Rs. 2.38 crore in 13 government middle, high, and senior secondary schools.

Under this campaign, Punjab Horticulture, Freedom Fighters, and Defense Services Welfare Minister Mohinder Bhagat today dedicated two modern classrooms built at a cost of Rs. 19.10 lakh to the students at the Government Senior Secondary Smart School, Basti Danishmanda.

Speaking during the inauguration ceremony held on this occasion, the Cabinet Minister said that the 'Punjab Sikhiya Kranti' will play an important role in the bright future of the new generation. He said that under the initiative led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the basic infrastructure of government schools is being strengthened and equipped with state-of-the-art facilities to provide a better learning environment for students.

Mr. Bhagat stated that the Punjab Government, following the ideologies of Shaheed-e-Azam Sardar Bhagat Singh and Baba Saheb Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar, is giving special attention to the field of education. This time, a larger budget has been allocated for education, and there will be no shortage of funds for the development works of government schools.

He appealed to parents to enroll their children in government schools and inspire others to do the same, mentioning that today government schools are providing facilities equivalent to private schools. Moreover, government school students are in no way behind in terms of results or other performances.The Cabinet Minister assured that any future requirements of the school would be fulfilled if brought to his attention. He also emphasized the need to create awareness among students against drug abuse.

On this occasion, Punjab Sikhiya Kranti  Coordinator Sanjeev Bhagat, Chairman Subhash Bhagat, Sandeep Verma, Kamal Loch, J.E. Balwinder, Block Nodal Officer Parminder Flora, Principal Rekha Rani, entire school staff, students, and their parents were present.

Similarly, MLA Balkar Singh inaugurated development works worth Rs. 41.27 lakh at Government High School Bulandpur, Government Primary School Bulandpur, Government Primary School Kabulpur, Government Primary School Noorpur, and Government Primary School Raowali under Kartarpur Assembly Constituency.

Likewise, MLA Inderjit Kaur Mann inaugurated development works worth Rs. 84.24 lakh at Government Senior Secondary School Nakodar, Government Senior Secondary School Nakodar (Girls), Government Primary School Dr. Ambedkar Nagar, and Government Primary School (Boys).

Apart from this, development works were inaugurated in eight government schools of Shahkot Assembly Constituency at a cost of Rs. 45.21 lakh, in six government schools of Phillaur at Rs. 40.66 lakh, and in three government schools of Adampur at Rs. 70.65 lakh.
