MLA Kharar, Anmol Gagan Mann today Kickstarted the work of laying of pipeline for disposal of rain water from Nijjar Chowk to Bariali Nadi with the assurance of completion of work with in six months.She said that the project worth Rs 4.13 Crore will be beneficial for the residents with the solution of the waterlogging issue during the rainy season.
She said that the Punjab Water Supply and Sewerage Board officials has been asked to expidte the work on three STPs Upcoming in the city to give respite to the city residents from the existing sewerage system. Anmol Gagan Mann while interacting with the media persons, said that another important project that was approved by the Bhagwant Mann Government to overcome the scarcity of drinking water problem in the Kharar, would be allocated to the successful bidder in the first week of the March.
She said that the financial bids are under evaluation process and as soon as the evaluation completed, the work order would be issued to the firm. She said that she has been doing allout efforts for the overall development of Historical city Kharar and her entire constituency.
MLA Anmol Gagan Mann further said that the rural road that could not be started due to the non-release of rural development funds (RDF) but now the state government is arranging funds from other sources to overhaul the rural roads.The reiterated her commitment to meet all the infrastructure needs of the Kharar Constituency as per promises made to the people.
