Golewala (Talwandi Sabo) , 06 Aug 2014

Punjab Deputy chief minister Sukhbir Singh Badal today said Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal had a special relationship with the people of Bathinda parliamentary constituency and had done his utmost for the development of this region unlike Congress leaders who were known for their non performance only. Addressing jam packed public meetings at Lehri, Nangla, Nateha, Golewala, Kalalwala, Fatta Ballu, Rayia, Koreana, Gehlewala, Mirzeana and Menuana, Mr Sukhbir Badal said Bathinda MP Harsimrat Kaur Badal was also o working for the welfare of the region on a daily basis by coordinating with various central ministries to get the maximum schemes to the parliamentary constituency. "SAD-BJP government would ensure our all-round development and prosperity with full help from the Union government,” he assured while putting on fast track the election campaign of SAD-BJP candidate for the Talwandi Sabo bye-election Mr. Jeet Mohinder Sidhu .Declaring that SAD candidate Mr. Jeet Mohinder Sidhu was also an able worker and leader, he urged the people of the area to elect him as a legislator so that they could have an effective voice in the State Vidhan Sabha.

The Deputy CM urged the people to distinguish between leaders like the Chief Minister Sardar Parkash Singh Badal, Mrs Harsimrat Badal and Mr Sidhu vis a vis Congress leaders like Capt Amarinder Singh and Partap Singh Bajwa. "On the one hand you have leaders who are working for you round the clock while on the other are the Congress leaders who are not only known for their non performance but also their inaccessibility and arrogant behaviour".The Deputy CM also took the opportunity to remind the people that it was the SAD- BJP government under Mr Parkash Singh Badal which was responsible for the unique schemes being enjoyed by the people including free power supply to the agriculture sector, old age pension, Shagun scheme and atta - daal scheme. "There was a Congress government also in 2002. Did it even come out with a single welfare scheme for you", he asked amidst applause and slogan shouting in favour of the SAD.Badal said the forthcoming byelection results would be the last nail in the coffin of the dying Congress party in Punjab. "The party has already become redundant at the national level. Following the two bye-elections in Punjab the party will virtually cease to exist in the State also", he added.SAD candidate Mr.  Jeet Mohinder Sidhu while speaking on the occasion said he had joined the SAD to ensure development of the constituency. "I am confident the face of the constituency will be changed forever once it elects an SAD candidate to the Vidhan Sabha", he added.Prominent among others who spoke on the occasion included Rajya Sabha MP  Balwinder Singh Bhunder  and senior SAD leader Amarjit Singh Sidhu.
