In line with the Government of India's flagship initiative for Good Governance, a crucial meeting on ‘Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore’ was today chaired by the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Shopian, Mohammad Shahid Saleem Dar at Mini-Secretariat, here.
The meeting aimed at strengthening grassroots administration and ensuring transparent, efficient service delivery to the rural population. The DC stressed the importance of delivering government services in a time-bound and hassle-free manner to the people.
Special focus was laid on ensuring equitable access to schemes and benefits for all citizens, especially marginalized communities. Strategies were discussed and threadbare discussion was held to improve inter-departmental coordination for effective implementation of programmes in this regard.
The DC directed for holding awareness camps in rural areas at Panchayat and Blocks to educate citizens about available government schemes. This meeting underscores the district administration's commitment to fostering Good Governance, ensuring the benefits of development reach the last mile, and bridging the gap between government and the people. ADC, Dr. Zakir Hussain Faaz, CPO, ACD, District Officers and other concerned were present.
