To celebrate the achievements of the cadets from the Maharaja Ranjit Singh Armed Forces Preparatory Institute (MRSAFPI), a grand felicitation ceremony was held at the Institute's campus in SAS Nagar (Mohali). Since its inception, the institute has seen the highest number of its cadets making it to the All-India merit list for the NDA/TES courses this year.

Cadet Armaanpreet Singh, who topped the All-India Order of Merit for the NDA, and Karman Singh Talwar, who secured the 2nd rank in the All-India Order of Merit for the Technical Entry Scheme (TES), were among the ten cadets from the 12th Course honoured by Mr. Amarjit Bajwa, Chairman of Shemrock Senior Secondary School, Ms. Prineet Sohal, Principal of Shemrock Senior Secondary School, Colonel Piyush Bahuguna (Retd) of Impact Educational Services, and the faculty of MRSAFPI, led by the Director Major General Ajay H Chauhan.

Notably, the NDA entrance written examination was conducted in April 2024, with approximately six lakh students from across India appeared in the exam. Successful candidates subsequently called for the Services Selection Boards (SSB) interviews. The final merit list was then compiled based on the candidates' performances in both the NDA entrance written examination and the SSB interview.

Cadet Armaanpreet Singh of 12th Course, stood 1st in the All-India Order of Merit and Cadet Keshav Singla stood 15th in the Merit. Out of the 24 cadets from the Institute who had cleared the written examination, 16 cadets successfully passed the SSB interviews and made it to the Merit List.

The Technical Entry Scheme (TES)-52 Course merit list was recently declassified, in which Cadet Karman Singh Talwar of the 12th Course secured the 2nd rank in the All-India Merit. Along with Karman, three more cadets from the Institute who had appeared for the SSB were also included in the Merit List.

Punjab Employment Generation, Skill Development and Training Minister Mr. Aman Arora complimented the cadets on their remarkable achievement. He stated that the Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann-led Punjab Government is committed to fulfilling the aspirations of the state's youth who wish to join the Defence Services as officers.

Major General Ajay H. Chauhan, VSM, the Director of MRSAFPI, informed that in December 2024, 09 Cadets from the 7th and 8th Courses of the Institute, who are currently undergoing training at the IMA and AFA, will be commissioned as Gazetted Officers in the Indian Army and Indian Air Force, respectively.
