Mohali Police Observed Police Commemoration Day Parade

To commemorate the police martyrs who laid their lives in the line of duty during the last year, a Police Commemoration Day Parade was observed by the District SAS Nagar Police on Monday. DIG Ropar Range, Mrs Nilambri Jagdale while paying tributes to the martyrs, said that the day reminds us of the valour of our police forces, paramilitary forces who fought the battle against the anti-India forces with a mission to win or die. 

She said that the district has also been carrying a legacy of 35 families who lost their kin in the line of duty. Emphasizing fighting against the drug menace and gangsters who emerged as a new danger to our peace and harmony and unity and integrity, the Deputy Inspector General of Ropar Range, Mrs Nilambri Jagdale further said that we would have to fight against the anti-social and anti-India forces to save our youth from their clutches and bad intentions.

The Commemoration Day Parade was led by DSP Jatinder Chauhan as Parade Commander and a two-minute silence was observed in the memory of the martyred police officers and personnel. SP (Rural) Manpreet Singh read out the names of the Police and paramilitary forces personnel who laid their lives last year.

DIG Nlambri Jagdale, SSP Deepak Pareek, ADC (G) Viraj S Tidke, Chief Judicial Magistrate Aneessh Goyal along with the SPs, DSPs, SHOs, Punjab Police Pensioners and Family Members of the martyrs paid the floral tributes in the end.

The 27 families who attended the Police Commemoration Day Parade, today, were honoured with gifts and police officers expressed their solidarity with them.
