Benjamin Dagadu, Energy and Petroleum Deputy Minster, the Republic of Ghana today called on Mr. Adaish Partap Singh Kairon, Food & Civil Supplies and Food Processing Minister, Punjab. He sought the help from the State of Punjab to increase the quality rice production and to set up fool-proof online post-procurement operations to save the hard-earned food grains and its proper use in limited time frame. Mr. Kairon assured the visiting delegation to extend all possible help to Republic of Ghana to augment the rice production, its quality, better milling and preservation operations.
During the meeting at Punjab Bhawan, Mr. Dagadu apprised that the Republic of Ghana was earnestly required the better infrastructure and techniques available in the field of food technology sector. He urged the Punjab Government to exchange its expertise in this sector with Republic of Ghana. Mr. Kairon has assured the delegation to share its expertise with Ghana and to enable this African Country to produce quality food grains, especially rice.Mr. Dagadu further apprised that the Republic of Ghana produce quality cocoa crop in abundance and requested the State of Punjab to share its skill and expertise in post procurement operations of cocoa.Mr. Amardeep Singh Hari, CEO, IPMC and other senior official of the Food Department were also present in the meeting.
