Kharar MLA Anmol Gagan Mann today kicked off the recarpeting of roads and construction of roads with tiles. She said that the total project would be completed at a cost of Rs 8 crore covering Sunny Enclave (area under MC) and ward number 1, 23, 24 and 25.
The total length of the roads under carpeting and concrete tile works is about 22 KM. MLA Mann said that the re-carpeting of the roads will be done within 15 days while the concrete tile work will take four months to get completed.
Listing the two most important roads; Hospital Road and Randhawa Road that further connect to Ludhiana Road, MLA Anmol Gagan Mann said that these were the long-awaited roads and now commuting on these roads will become easier. She said that one more important demand of the removal of legacy waste dump from Daroan City and Ranjit Nagar has already been met with the hiring of a firm to dispose of it in a year.
The project is pegged at Rs 4.25 Crore. MLA Anmol Gagan Mann further said that after meeting the long pending demands of the water supply project, sewerage project and road network project, a last but most important demand for a bus Stand is also going to become practical soon as the formalities are being completed at war footing level.
She reiterated her commitment to making Kharar a beautiful and fully developed city with the help of Chief Minister Bhagwant Sing Singh Mann.
