3rd National Lok Adalat- 407 Cases settled in Rajouri

As per the direction of NALSA, 3rd National Lok Adalat pertaining to all types of cases was held today at District Court Complex Rajouri and in all other Courts of the District under the Chairmanship of Rajeev Gupta Chairman District legal Service Authority Rajouri (Principal District & Sessions Judge). Two benches were constituted with the first bench   headed by Rajeev Gupta ( Principal District & Sessions Judge Rajouri) and assisted by Bashir Ahmad Munshi ( Additional District & Sessions Judge Rajouri) and Khilat Mehmood Bhat Advocate.

The Second bench was headed by Javed Rana( Chief Judicial Magistrate Rajouri) assisted by Rayaz Ahmed Choudhary ( Special Mobile Magistrate Rajouri)  and Sanjay Kumar Advocate. Similar benches were also constituted at Tehsil Level which were headed by the Presiding Officers of the respective Courts.

A total 1004 cases both Pre-Litigation and Post-Litigation were taken up before these benches out of which 407 Cases were disposed of. An amount of Rs.1,428,617( Fourteen Lakh Twenty Eight Thousand six hundred and seventeen only) was realized as compensation.

From the court of Principal District & Sessions Judge, Rajouri & Additional District & Sessions Judge Rajouri, 33 MACT Cases were taken up out of which 33were settled and amount of Rs. 1,04,45,000 (One Crore four lakh fourty five thousand only) was awarded as compensation in those cases. Representatives of Banks, Advocates of different Insurance companies, Bar members, PLVs, Staff members, Litigants and a large number of people participated in the National Lok Adalat.
