The ongoing Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation campaign in Udhampur saw a thrilling addition today with the participation of super bikers. Led by the District Election Officer Saloni Rai, a team of Officers comprising IAS Probationer Swati Shemaar; ACD Dr Ranjit Singh Kotwal; DFO Udhampur, Nodal Officer SVEEP, Dr Preeti Sharma; DYSSO Romesh Chander Mishra and other officers from the Udhampur administration extended a warm reception to the eminent bikers, who have garnered widespread acclaim for their achievements and contributions to both the motorcycling community and societal causes.
While interacting with the bikers, the DEO emphasized the importance of spreading awareness about the value of voting. She invited the superbikers to participate in future events, encouraging them to leverage their influence to engage the youth and promote electoral participation. She also guided them on how to further strengthen the SVEEP campaign.
The Bikers included Divya Sandhu, revered as the "Iron Lady" of the motorcycle community, acclaimed for her extraordinary 800,000 kilometers of riding; Jitesh Surana, a biker and founder of Asteride, the world’s sole community platform recognized by DPIIT and Start-up India with extensive global riding experience, exceeding 500,000 kilometers; Nikhil Kohli, the dynamic host of "The Sorted TV" and a fervent motorcycling enthusiast; Harish Kumar, an enterprising Hayabusa rider and entrepreneur and Rahul Sharma, another Hayabusa aficionado with pioneering advancements in the electric vehicle sector through innovative ventures. They also participated in a signature campaign at the DC office premises.
