Postal Ballot Voting for voters of District Kishtwar engaged in the election process was conducted today, in strict adherence to the protocols and guidelines of the Election Commission of India (ECI). The event, overseen by District Election Officer Rajesh Kumar Shavan, saw the active participation of Deputy District Election Officer/Returning Officer for AC-48 Inderwal, Idrees Lone, Returning Officer for AC-49 Kishtwar/ADC, Pawan Kotwal, Returning Officer for AC-50 Nagseni Paddar/SDM Dr. Amit Kumar, Assistant Returning Officers, Security Officers and other key officials.

On the first day of voting, a significant turnout was observed across the constituencies. In 50-Paddar Nagseni Assembly Constituency, 442 out of 794 eligible voters exercised their right to vote. In 49-Kishtwar Assembly Constituency, 878 out of 1,809 voters cast their ballots, while in 48-Inderwal Assembly Constituency, 621 out of 989 eligible voters participated in the electoral process.

The Postal Ballot voting process was carried out under stringent security measures to maintain the safety and integrity of the voting process. Three facilitation centers were established for the employee voters of all three Assembly Constituencies in the district.

Postal Ballot voting for civil and police employees of the district engaged in the election will continue tomorrow, 11th September. By adhering to the guidelines of the Election Commission of India, the district election authorities remain committed to ensuring fairness and efficiency in the elections, making sure that every voter’s experience is smooth and equitable.
