Chandigarh Administration, today, celebrated the ongoing "Har Ghar Tiranga" campaign at Tagore Theatre, Sector-18, Chandigarh. Sh. Gulab Chand Kataria, Governor Punjab and Administrator UT Chandigarh, was the chief guest on the occasion. During the event, a patriotic painting exhibition was displayed, short movie was shown, cultural performances were given by students of Government Model School, Sector-49 and Kundan International School, followed by a play on Udham Singh performed by Chandigarh Sangeet Natak Academy.
The chief guest, in his address, expressed gratitude to the Honourable Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi for his visionary initiative "Har Ghar Tiranga" campaign, which is a heartfelt call for every Indian to hoist the national flag at our homes. He said that we can understand the significance of Tiranga only if we remember the sacrifices made by the freedom fighters to hoist the Tiranga. Sh. Kataria shared his experience when he got a chance to visit the jail where Veer Savarkar was kept for many years and only then could he understand the immense pains that the freedom fighters tolerated because of their love for the motherland.
Sh. Kataira also remembered the Kargil War and thanked all the soldiers who fight for their motherland keeping their lives at stake. Sh. Kataria said that in the past few years, India has become the world’s 5th biggest economy, even leaving behind England, the country that enslaved India for almost 200 years.
He reiterated the Prime Minister’s Vision for India- 2047, to see India as number one country in the world. The Administrator urged the citizens of Chandigarh to hoist the Tiranga at their homes, offices and commercial buildings and click a selfie with the flag and upload it on social media.
The Tricolor flying high at every doorstep is a testament to our unwavering patriotism and love for our motherland. This is the third edition of the "Har Ghar Tiranga" campaign and is being celebrated in the country from 9th to 15th August, 2024 as part of the Independence Day celebrations. "Har Ghar Tiranga" campaign was launched under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav in 2022 and since then it has grown into a people's movement, embraced by diverse segments of society across the country.
The campaign aims to instill the spirit of patriotism and national pride among citizens by encouraging every Indian to hoist the national flag, the Tiranga. It also aims to reminisce the journey of India and those who have contributed towards creating this great nation.

चंडीगढ़ प्रशासन ने आज टैगोर थिएटर, सेक्टर-18, चंडीगढ़ में चल रहे "हर घर तिरंगा" अभियान का जश्न मनाया। इस अवसर पर पंजाब के राज्यपाल और यूटी चंडीगढ़ के प्रशासक श्री गुलाब चंद कटारिया मुख्य अतिथि थे। कार्यक्रम के दौरान, देशभक्ति से भरी पेंटिंग प्रदर्शनी लगाई गई, लघु फिल्म दिखाई गई, सरकारी मॉडल स्कूल, सेक्टर-49 और कुंदन इंटरनेशनल स्कूल के छात्रों द्वारा सांस्कृतिक प्रस्तुतियां दी गईं, इसके बाद चंडीगढ़ संगीत नाटक अकादमी द्वारा उधम सिंह पर एक नाटक प्रस्तुत किया गया।
मुख्य अतिथि ने अपने संबोधन में माननीय प्रधानमंत्री श्री नरेंद्र मोदी के दूरदर्शी पहल "हर घर तिरंगा" अभियान के लिए आभार व्यक्त किया, जो हर भारतीय से अपने घरों पर राष्ट्रीय ध्वज फहराने का एक हार्दिक आह्वान है। उन्होंने कहा कि हम तिरंगे के महत्व को तभी समझ सकते हैं जब हम तिरंगा फहराने के लिए स्वतंत्रता सेनानियों द्वारा दिए गए बलिदानों को याद रखें।
श्री कटारिया ने अपने अनुभव साझा करते हुए कहा कि जब उन्हें उस जेल में जाने का मौका मिला जहां वीर सावरकर को कई वर्षों तक रखा गया था, तभी उन्हें समझ में आया कि मातृभूमि के प्रति अपने प्रेम के कारण स्वतंत्रता सेनानियों ने कितनी पीड़ा सहन की। श्री कटारिया ने कारगिल युद्ध को भी याद किया और अपनी जान की बाजी लगाकर मातृभूमि के लिए लड़ने वाले सभी सैनिकों का आभार व्यक्त किया।
श्री कटारिया ने कहा कि पिछले कुछ वर्षों में भारत दुनिया की पांचवीं सबसे बड़ी अर्थव्यवस्था बन गया है, यहां तक कि उसने इंग्लैंड को भी पीछे छोड़ दिया है, जिसने भारत को लगभग 200 वर्षों तक गुलाम रखा। उन्होंने भारत के लिए प्रधानमंत्री के विजन- 2047 को दोहराया, जिसमें भारत को दुनिया का नंबर एक देश बनाने की बात कही गई है।
प्रशासक ने चंडीगढ़ के नागरिकों से अपने घरों, कार्यालयों और व्यावसायिक भवनों पर तिरंगा फहराने और झंडे के साथ सेल्फी लेने और इसे सोशल मीडिया पर अपलोड करने का आग्रह किया। हर दरवाजे पर लहराता तिरंगा हमारी अटूट देशभक्ति और मातृभूमि के प्रति प्रेम का प्रमाण है। यह "हर घर तिरंगा" अभियान का तीसरा संस्करण है और इसे स्वतंत्रता दिवस समारोह के हिस्से के रूप में 9 से 15 अगस्त, 2024 तक देश भर में मनाया जा रहा है।
"हर घर तिरंगा" अभियान 2022 में आज़ादी का अमृत महोत्सव के तत्वावधान में शुरू किया गया था और तब से यह एक जन आंदोलन बन गया है, जिसे देश भर में समाज के विभिन्न वर्गों ने अपनाया है। अभियान का उद्देश्य प्रत्येक भारतीय को राष्ट्रीय ध्वज, तिरंगा फहराने के लिए प्रोत्साहित करके नागरिकों में देशभक्ति और राष्ट्रीय गौरव की भावना पैदा करना है।
इसका उद्देश्य भारत की यात्रा और इस महान राष्ट्र के निर्माण में योगदान देने वालों को याद दिलाना भी है। कार्यक्रम के दौरान प्रशासक के सलाहकार श्री राजीव वर्मा, डीजीपी श्री सुरेन्द्र सिंह यादव, नगर निगम आयुक्त सुश्री अनिंदिता मित्रा, उपायुक्त श्री विनय प्रताप सिंह, शिक्षा सचिव श्री अभिजीत विजय चौधरी, संस्कृति सचिव श्री हरि कल्लिक्कट और चंडीगढ़ प्रशासन के अन्य अधिकारी मौजूद थे।
