PWD Minister Vikramaditya Singh urges quick approval of key projects and swift road repairs

Public Works and Urban Development Minister Vikramaditya Singh today chaired a review meeting with officials of the Public Works Department (PWD) and the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) to discuss the progress of pending Detailed Project Reports (DPRs). He said that 35 DPRs related to various projects were currently pending with NABARD. He emphasized the need to clear these reports promptly and directed officials to expedite all necessary formalities to ensure that work on these projects could get started.

Vikramaditya Singh stressed the urgency of speeding up the approval process for these DPRs, which are essential for the timely execution of various infrastructure projects. He underscored that once these projects receive approval, they would play a vital role in the development of both urban and rural areas, which would enhance the quality of life for residents.

While reviewing the repair of roads damaged by the recent rains, the Minister directed authorities to expedite the restoration of critical infrastructure, particularly damaged bridges and roads, which serve as vital lifelines for disaster-affected communities. He emphasized the importance of promptly reestablishing connections to main roads and essential services to minimize public inconvenience and support ongoing recovery efforts. 

The Minister urged officials to prioritize the repair work, ensuring it is completed swiftly and efficiently while adhering to high standards of safety and quality. He also asked for regular updates and close monitoring of the progress to ensure timely completion.

Chief  General Manager Dr. Vivek Pathania and other senior officers of PWD and NABARD were present in the meeting.

लोक निर्माण मंत्री विक्रमादित्य सिंह ने क्षतिग्रस्त सड़कों की मरम्मत में तेजी लाने के निर्देश दिए

लोक निर्माण एवं शहरी विकास मंत्री विक्रमादित्य सिंह ने आज लोक निर्माण विभाग तथा राष्ट्रीय कृषि एवं ग्रामीण विकास बैंक (नाबार्ड) के अधिकारियों के साथ बैठक की अध्यक्षता करते हुए विभिन्न परियोजनाओं की लंबित विस्तृत परियोजना रिपोर्ट (डीपीआर) और बारिश के कारण क्षतिग्रस्त सड़कों और पुलों की मरम्मत कार्यों की प्रगति की समीक्षा की। विक्रमादित्य सिंह ने कहा कि नाबार्ड के पास विभाग की विभिन्न परियोजनाओं से संबंधित 35 डीपीआर वर्तमान में लंबित हैं।

उन्होंने इन लम्बित डीपीआर को शीघ्र मंजूरी देने की आवश्यकता पर बल दिया और अधिकारियों को सभी आवश्यक औपचारिकताओं को शीघ्र पूरा करने के निर्देश दिए ताकि इन परियोजनाओं पर शीघ्र कार्य आरम्भ किया जा सके। उन्होंने कहा कि विभिन्न बुनियादी ढांचा परियोजनाओं के समय पर क्रियान्वयन के लिए डीपीआर को शीघ्र मंजूरी प्रदान करना आवश्यक है। 

उन्होंने कहा कि इससे शहरी और ग्रामीण क्षेत्रों के विकास में तेजी आएगी जिससे क्षेत्र के लोग लाभान्वित होंगे। लोक निर्माण मंत्री ने हाल ही में हुई बारिश से क्षतिग्रस्त सड़कों के मरम्मत कार्य की समीक्षा करते हुए अधिकारियों को क्षतिग्रस्त पुलों की मरम्मत और सड़कों की बहाली में तेजी लाने के निर्देश दिए ताकि क्षेत्र के लोगों को किसी भी प्रकार की असुविधा का सामना न करना पड़े।

नाबार्ड के मुख्य महाप्रबंधक डॉ. विवेक पठानिया और लोक निर्माण विभाग के वरिष्ठ अधिकारी भी बैठक में उपस्थित थे।
