Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla today flagged off two vehicles carrying relief material from Raj Bhavan to district Kullu comprising hygiene kits, tarpaulin, kitchen sets, blankets etc.The Governor appealed to the people of the State to remain vigilant at their own level during this rainy season and urged the tourists not to venture too close to the rivers & rivulets.
He said that continuity has been maintained in sending relief material to the disaster-affected areas through the State Red Cross. He said that whenever such a request comes from the district administration, relief material would be sent by the Raj Bhawan.
He said that the people of the State should also come forward to help the affected families in this difficult time. Secretary to the Governor Rajesh Sharma was also present on the occasion.
