Hon'ble Agriculture Minister Punjab S. Gurmeet Singh Khudian visited natural farming farm Dhirekot district Amritsar. They inspected various organically grown crops such as Sugarcane, turmeric, basmati rice, vegetables, pulses, fruit trees on the farm in an area of 32 acres.
During this visit, Chief Agriculture Officer Amritsar S. Tajinder Singh and farm in-charge S. Rajbir Singh discussed about the nutrient management, prevention of insects and diseases through organic methods in crops grown. He added that all crops are grown and processed on this farm without using any chemical.
Subject Matter Specialist Jograjbir Singh Gill, Raman Kumar, Agriculture Officer Bhupinder Singh, Agriculture Development Officer Lovepreet Singh, Sukhraj Singh Sidhu, Agriculture Extension Officer Baljinder Singh, Harkirat Singh, ASI Upkar Singh etc. were present on this field visit.

ਸੂਬੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਖਾਦਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਦਵਾਈਆਂ ਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਨੂੰ ਘਟਾਉਣ ਅਤੇ ਕੁਦਰਤੀ ਖੇਤੀ ਦੀਆਂ ਸੰਭਾਵਨਾਵਾਂ ਜਾਣਨ ਲਈ ਖੇਤੀਬਾੜੀ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸ. ਗੁਰਮੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਖੁੱਡੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਕੁਦਰਤੀ ਖੇਤੀ ਫਾਰਮ ਧੀਰੇਕੋਟ ਜਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ ਦਾ ਦੌਰਾ ਕੀਤਾ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਫਾਰਮ ਤੇ 32 ਏਕੜ ਰਕਬੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਰਗੈਨਿਕ ਵਿਧੀ ਨਾਲ ਬੀਜੀਆਂ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਫਸਲਾਂ ਕਮਾਦ, ਹਲਦੀ, ਬਾਸਮਤੀ, ਸਬਜੀਆਂ, ਦਾਲਾਂ, ਫਲਦਾਰ ਰੁੱਖਾਂ ਦਾ ਮੁਆਇਨਾਂ ਕੀਤਾ।
ਇਸ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਮੁੱਖ ਖੇਤੀਬਾੜੀ ਅਫਸਰ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ ਸ. ਤਜਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਅਤੇ ਫਾਰਮ ਇੰਚਾਰਜ ਸ. ਰਾਜਬੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਫਸਲਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਆਰਗੈਨਿਕ ਵਿਧੀਆਂ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਤੱਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਪੂਰਤੀ, ਕੀੜੇ-ਮਕੌੜੇ ਅਤੇ ਬੀਮਾਰੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਰੋਕਥਾਮ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਜਾਣੂ ਕਰਵਾਇਆ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਫਾਰਮ ਤੇ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਫਸਲਾਂ ਬਿਨਾਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਰਸਾਇਣ ਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਕਰਕੇ ਪੈਦਾ ਕੀਤੀਆ ਜਾਂਦੀਆ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰੋਸੈਸਿੰਗ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
