Senior BJP leader Mr Devender Singh Rana today exhorted students to aim high, saying sky is the limit for the meritorious and those striving for achieving academic excellence. “The path to success is not easy, but with perseverance, determination and firm belief in self, the talented ones can overcome any challenge that comes their way., be it academics or any other field”, Mr Devender Rana said at a felicitation ceremony, organised by the Dogra Sewa Sambhal Trust (Regd.) under the patronage of Shri Baldev Singh Billawaria former Dy Mayor to honour the meritorious students, who had outstanding performance in the Board Examination at Gangyal in RS Pura-Jammu South Assembly Constituency.

In his motivational discourse, Mr Rana  said that only those students, who have concentration and willpower towards studies, score top marks. They do not only lay strong foundations for their academic odyssey but also and bring laurels to their parents, teachers and the soil they belong to, he observed.

Complementing the achievers, Mr Rana acknowledged their resilience and determination in setting their goals and working to achieve success. The success of the meritorious students is not only due to their hard work, but the support system and dedication of their parents and teachers. But for their strong backing, it was not possible to achieve such a big success, he added.

Mr Rana lauded the Dogra Sewa Sambhal Trust (Regd.) for continuously infusing new energy in the meritorious students by felicitating them so that in future these children can work harder and bring laurels to their region. Speaking on the occasion, former Deputy Mayor Jammu and senior BJP leader Mr  Baldev Singh Billawaria said that just as there should be a strong foundation for strength, similarly education and guidance are necessary for excellence in life.

“If there is no direction, we cannot achieve the goal. Parents and teachers are the foundation of life, always respect them”, Mr Billawaria advised the outstanding students, saying that parents play an important role in taking youngsters forward. Earlier parents used to tell children what to study, but today children themselves decide what they want to study, he added.

Mr Billawaria congratulated the parents of meritorious students and said that due to their values and good upbringing they have helped them achieve their goals. He advised students to choose the right career for their better future and prepare accordingly.

Dogra Sewa Sambhal Trust President Mr Rajiv Sharma said that if children need any kind of assistance regarding studies, the Trust is always ready to help. During the felicitation ceremony, the students gave as much credit for their success to their parents as to their teachers. Expressing gratitude to the Trust for felicitating the meritorious students, the parents said that their children have made them proud by their hard work and  this moment has become one of the important moments  in their life.
