Chunni Lal Bhagat, Local Bodies Minister, Punjab today directed officers of the department to fast track the proceedings to get the 60 crore loan from HUDCO sanctioned immediately.Disclosing this here today an official spokesperson of the Local Bodies department said that these instructions were issued in a high level meeting held today under the chairmanship of Mr Chunni Lal Bhagat to review the progress of ongoing development project and to review the town planning cases involving CLU.

He said that the Minister took strong exception of the delay in the case of 60 crore loan from HUDCO for Municipal Corporation Jalandhar. He directed the officers to prepare the case and get this loan cleared as early as possible. During the meeting the issue of town planning cases involving Change of Land Use was also discussed and the minister asked the officers to clear all such cases within a week.The spokesperson further said that the Minister while taking up the matter of None Construction Charges Policy directed the officers to resubmit the policy with amendments similarly instructions were issued to clear all the pending resolutions of corporations and committees at the earliest.

Prominent among others who were present in the meeting included Mr. Ashok Gupta, Secretary, Mr. Priyank Bharti, Director Local Bodies, Mr. Ashok Sikka, Deputy Director, Mr. Vijay Bablani, Commissioner, Municipal Corporation Jalandhar and Mr., PS Aujla. Chief Town Planner.
