The Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Srinagar, Dr. Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat, conducted a Public Grievance Redressal Camp in the Koolipora area of Shahar-e-Khaas, Khanyar, as a part of the ongoing Public Outreach Programme aimed at addressing citizen concerns directly. The event saw extensive participation from various localities within the Khanyar Tehsil, reflecting the administration's commitment to community engagement and prompt resolution of public grievances.

Residents from areas like Nowpora, Alamdar Colony, and Nowhatta, among others, came forward with a range of issues including the need for improved drinking water supply, enhanced drainage systems, and road maintenance. The camp provided a platform for public delegations and local Masjid Intizamiya Committees to voice their developmental concerns directly to the district authorities.

DC Bhat, after listening attentively to the public’s concerns, coordinated immediate responses from the attending district officers, reaffirming his pledge to prioritize and swiftly address the raised issues. He emphasized the district administration's dedication to fulfilling public demands through diligent follow-up and timely action.

The camp not only facilitated direct dialogue between the public and the authorities but also underscored the administration's strategy of proactive engagement and accessibility. Dr. Bhat reiterated the importance of such camps in gathering first-hand accounts of local issues, ensuring that subsequent actions are well-informed and effectively targeted.

Addressing water supply concerns, the DC highlighted the implementation of new schemes like Amrut 2.0, aimed at enhancing urban water infrastructure. The event, attended by various district and sectoral officers, symbolized a collaborative effort toward resolving community issues and improving the quality of life for the residents of Srinagar.
