NSS volunteer Ajay Kumar Saini attended the National Adventure camp in Narkanda (Shimla) from 14 Jan to 24 Jan 2024 at the Institute of High Altitude Trekking & Skiing Centre, Narkanda.Volunteers experienced the fun of rock climbing, rappelling, valley crossing, and jumaring. Volunteers successfully navigated through the challenges and learned crucial trekking skills.

Treks to Shrikot top, Sara/Derthu, and Hatu Peak were arranged by the team. Volunteers were briefed about mountain walking, mountain manners, flora and fauna, different types of ropes and knots used, Himalayas, mountain hazards, and casualty evaluation, etc.

The skills acquired during this camp will undoubtedly contribute to the holistic growth of the NSS students, preparing them for future challenges and instilling a sense of responsibility and leadership.The PEC community congratulated them for the same.
